“Issue” of material refers to decreasing the on-hand material balance due to it being removed from inventory to be used by an Activity.

APS Auto-issues material in these circumstances:

  • When the Auto-Report Progress function cause an Activity to start running. In this case, the quantity of materials needed to support the number of Cycles completed is issued.
  • When the Auto-Finish function is used and the Required Finish Qty is greater than the Reported Good plus Reported Scrap quantities.
  • When an Activity’s status is updated manually (rather than via import) and the Reported Good or Reported Scrap quantities are changed. When inventory is managed in an ERP system the inventory On-Hand balance in APS is typically imported from the ERP system rather than being managed in APS. This is why APS only “auto-issues” for manual changes.
